From out of town? Think of this as “borrowing a book in Bonavista and finishing it at home in Telegraph Creek”.

From Bonavista? This is your opportunity to complete your prized Danielle Steele collection!

As you will have realised, this is my first attempt at a free book library, and more obviously, my first attempt at building a book cabinet. If you know of a local carpenter who can build a weather-proof cabinet before the winter sets in, I will not have to abandon the project over winter.

I need the space occupied by my stock of about 1,000 surplus books in my house, so please take one or two of these books

You may have one or two books at home that you no longer need. Feel free to leave them in a plastic bag under this cabinet or on my bridge. Chances are strong that I will enjoy reading them. Chances are even stronger that they will end up in this cabinet after I have read them, so that someone else can enjoy them.
